Bringing Body Mind and Spirit into balance, Jen brings a multidisciplinary approach to the body, with an eye for detail and a compassionate teaching style. Jen’s extensive experience has offered her the ability to work with a broad range of clients, from elite athletes and fitness enthusiasts to specialties in senior fitness, Joint replacement and injury rehabilitation, and pre- and post-natal training. With a background in Classical and Modern Dance, Jen began teaching Ashtanga and Yin Yoga in 1999, and has continued her studies with Erich Schiffmann, Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers.

In 2000 she expanded her teaching skills to include the Pilates Method. Initially studying Pilates with Physical Mind and Cathie Murakami, Jen then completed the Comprehensive Teacher Training Course with BASI Pilates®, training with Rael Isacowitz and Kristi Cooper. Recognized as an exceptional Instructor, Jen was asked to join the BASI Faculty. She then traveled throughout the US and abroad teaching BASI’s Comprehensive Teacher Training Course.

In addition to her work with BASI, Jen began a business as a Design and Marketing consultant with Pilates Studios throughout California. In 2005 Jen relocated from her native Santa Barbara to beautiful Mount Shasta, California and founded White Mountain Pilates Studio, a multi-modal Pilates Studio and Training Center that features a uniquely talented and diverse Independent Practitioner group, as well as being a BASI Pilates Host Studio.

While living in Mount Shasta Jen received her Reiki Level I and Level II Training and Attunements from Teo Merlino, and continues to study with him today.

In 2011 Jen returned to Santa Barbara and began training in The Gyrotonic Expansion System, studying with Miriam Barbosa, Jill Denison and Christina Brunk Stroh, and also become a Certified Massage Therapist studying at Santa Barbara Bodyworks, with a focus on Hot Stone and relaxing Deep Swedish massage modalities.

Today Jen can be found Teaching full time at the Studio.

Sandra is a Certified Pilates Instructor and Energy Medicine Practitioner with over 20 years of experience teaching Pilates. With her Pilates background rooted in the classical style Sandra uses her professional dance background and choreography skills to provide students with a solid understanding of the Pilates principals and creatively designs sessions that are crafted specifically for the individual students needs


Veronica Coots
Veronica Coots

Educated in dance since the age of three And holding a B.S. In Psychology Veronica Coots was seeking to rekindle her passion for movement and mind body connection after her daughter Ryan was born.

Veronica’s husband Forrest, a professional skier, discovered Pilates as a way to train in his off season.

Forrest gifted her with a lesson with Jen Wood and she immediatly fell in love with the deliberate movement, strength, and deep connection she found within herself.

With a desire to assist her husband in expedition training as well as help others discover their physical and mental strength through Pilates. Veronica graduated the BASI comprehensive teacher training in 2015.

Veronica is dedicated to on going education to keep her classes exciting and challenging for all levels. As her practice deepens Veronica’s love of Pilates grows and is continually inspired to teach a diverse group of students.


Jenn Carr
Jenn Carr

Jenn Carr is a certified BASI Pilates instructor and proud Mom to her daughter Alia. From an early age she was a competitive swimmer and waterpolo player. A dedicated athlete, she has spent many hours on road and mountain bikes, skis and surfs regularly, and has practiced yoga for 20+ years. After several years working as a professional mountain guide she became and is currently the co-owner of Shasta Mountain Guides. A back injury brought her to Pilates and having successfully managed the rehabilitation she now wishes to help others find relief from pain and enjoy a high quality of life. Her favorite Joseph Pilates quote is; “Physical fitness is the first requisite to happiness.”


Cedra Hill

Cedra teaches primarily BASI Pilates to clients seeking core strength, balance in movement, and a comprehensive whole body workout. Apprentice teaching at White Mountain Pilates and drawing from the vast repertoire of therapeutic BASI exercises has provided Cedra with the diverse experience of teaching clients with varying goals of rehabilitative and restorative movement, athletic conditioning, and overall wellness maintenance.

Cedra initiated her own Pilates practice through a life changing back injury, and from within that experience offers an awareness of life’s physical challenges. A Pilates practice may very well serve a client progressing toward a pain free life. Cedra provides individualized sessions to all clients who need the core strength and stabilization to both protect and enhance their daily physical experience.


Linn Tyhurst Pic
Linn Tyhurst

Linn graduated from a 600 hour program at Arcata School of Massage in Humboldt County, studying Somatic Bodywork under Shari Sunshine. Upon graduation, she started her career working with Kate McCaffrey, Doctor of Osteopathy, who specialized in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. Linn provided medical massage to a wide variety of patients, from those with acute injuries to those with long term chronic pain and serious illnesses. Using manual therapies of different styles, she had a huge success rate in lowering pain levels by decreasing muscle tension and increasing circulation and improving joint mobility.
Linn continued her practice upon moving to Marin County by specializing in Therapeutic and Sports Massage for the last several years. She is passionate about providing the type of massage therapy that effectively treats clients’ conditions; from muscle strains and sprains, frozen shoulders, tight muscles from stress or injury, whiplash injuries, neck and back pain, sports injuries and much more.
When Linn is not seeing clients, you can find her out on the trails; running, biking and hiking!.
